bluehwysYesterday I dug up, divided, and moved a metric ton of Ressurection Lilies, Irises, and Narcissus (I think). What I think is Narcissus is not something that I planted - it just sprung up in the Iris bed one spring, and slowly pushed the Irises to the back of the bed. When I dug them up, there had to be at least thirty thousand bulbs. I just kept finding them. Mom thinks they might be Paperwhites, but I honestly don't know what they are. Next spring I'll get pics and do research.
I had no idea that digging, dividing, and moving the Ressurection Lilies would be so labor-intensive and take all frickin day. Because once I finally had them up and divided, I had to dig up the Irises - which also needed to be seperated - and those little damn bulbs, extend the bed, plant the liles and replant the Irises and some of the little damn bulbs in the bed, plant the rest of the liles elswhere, plant the rest of the little damn bulbs elsewhere, and then clean everything up!
Hopefully I won't pay for all that work today. If I'd known it was going to be that big of a project I would have done it Saturday and given myself a couple of days to recover. And how old does that make me sound, lol.
Also, I really need to get my Mike Rowe icon uploaded for posts like this.
